How do I make a booking?
The first step in booking The Jughead, a mobile bar, is to select your package (please select pricing tab).
Once you know what you want to serve at your event, we will schedule a consultation call to discuss all the details and answer any questions you may have. Then we will write up your contract and a 25% non-refundable deposit is required on acceptance of the contract to book your date. Your final payment is due 30 days prior to the event date.
Four weeks before your event, we will contact you to discuss final guest count and provide you with a shopping list with our suggested alcohol quantities for you to purchase at the liquor store of your choice.
On the day, we will arrive two to three hours prior to the start time to set up and make sure The Jughead is set up and ready for service.
You don't provide the alcohol?
Yes correct, we don't provide the alcohol. However we do have the necessary qualifications and procedures in place to obtain a special licence through the local council in order to sell alcohol. Our preference is to avoid this step, to save time and you lots of $.
But what do I buy?
We will work with you to create a beverage menu and consult you on exactly what and how much YOU need to purchase.
What can we serve at your event?
Anything you want! Our packages offer you the option to design an event that is perfectly you! Pick the package that most suits your need’s, and we will create a menu that is all about you! We will discuss what flavours and styles you like and make menu suggestions based on YOU!
Do you ONLY provide service with The Jughead?
Yes. It's the only option for us to be able to give you the best customer service.
Do you check ID's?
Yes we do, if our staff believe someone is underage or becoming intoxicated we will check identifications on your behalf. We are not required legally to do so, but we want you to have a great night and not stress.
What happens if there is still alcohol left over, once your service time finishes?
We will pack the remaining alcohol in boxes and these will remain at the event site.
How far will you travel?
Cost included in package is a distance up to max 60KM from Porirua. Additional fuel costs will apply outside this area.
Do you take away the rubbish?
We will collect all plastic cups, napkins and straws and remove these from site. All other rubbish will be placed into their nominated recycled bins and left on site. We can remove all other rubbish from the site at an additional cost.
Do you need electricity?
Yes we do, we need power to operate our coolers.
